Mossy Rock #2
Today I made another attempt at photographing the Mountain Quail that sometimes, I repeat sometimes come to my backyard. From my attitude you can probably guess that they didn't come.I was in the photoblind for almost three and a half hours which gave me plenty of other opportunities to photograph many of the backyard regulars. Western Gray Squirrel,Douglas Tree Squirrel, Spotted Towhee, Dark eyed Junco and Steller's Jay.Enjoy these beautiful creatures.

DeleteEither you have a lot of patience or you love to meditate. I think my favorite is the last one, is it a Scrub or Western Jay?

ReplyDeleteAlso, what kind of camera do you use? My parents got me a Fuji Film Finepix S 14 mega pixel for Christmas. It's my first camera, but I'm not sure it's a very good one. For a student who does photography part time, what type of camera would you suggest?

DeleteI use a Canon 50D. The best camera is the one you have in your hand! That being said. Learn all you can about mastering F stops and shutter speeds and how photography works. Learn all the modes especially manual on your current camera.
Once you have mastered that you can do with that move on up to a camera system with interchangeable lenses. Current models I would suggest for a beginner can be found here.Cut and paste this into your browser.

My sixteen year old daughter has the Canon T3i and it is a wonderful camera.I steal it from her sometimes to use!

DeleteI will look into those cameras, but right now they are a bit out of my price range. I'm getting more used to my camera and am taking better quality images than I was before. Hopefully in a few years I can move up to a more professional camera.
