Playing With Light
Today was a very busy day with no photography until tonight. Time just seemed to vanish. Does that happen to you? I was off to a late start today and by the time I finished my work out at the gym it was almost eleven thirty. This afternoon I worked on a new bird set up for increasing my chances at capturing a nice quail image. We will see how that works as there is rain in the forecast for tomorrow.
Tonight I decided to experiment more with playing with light.I set my camera up on a tripod and prefocused on the spot where I was going to be. I set the camera on thirty second shutter delay with a thirty second exposure. I tripped the shutter and then scurried out to my spot and started swinging the light. It was a lot of fun and the results are very cool!
Enjoy!
God's precious love and blessings to all,
chris
Ohh, beautiful pic !
ReplyDeleteThank you Kemanist. I had a lot of fun doing these images.
DeleteAwesome images! I am going to give this a go for sure:)
ReplyDeleteThank you acornmanphotography. Give it a go. It is a lot of fun to do. You can do all kinds of twists and turns and make some really cool images. Possibilities are endless.
DeleteOMG! How did you make that?
ReplyDeleteSo amazing and bright! ^^
Thank you for stopping by for a look Monalisa Cavalcante. It is actually pretty easy to do. Wrap a flashlight in colored plastic and attach it to a small rope or a dog leash. Set up your camera on a tripod in a dark place and prefocus where you are going to stand(set the light there and manually focus on it).Set the camera on a thirty second delay with a thirty second exposure. Trip the shutter and run out there and start swinging. To make an orb slowly turn around 360 degrees standing in place. Have FUN!
DeleteI've done some pics like this too :D
ReplyDeleteBut mine weren't this good :D
Because I hadn't that much time xD
Toubi, If your camera has manual settings it can be done at ISO 400 on either 30 seconds or bulb at an F stop of around F8. just be sure it is pretty dark out. Good luck!
DeleteLook :D
DeleteI've done some Light pictures on my own :D

Hi Chris,
ReplyDeleteI LOVE these! Reminds me of when we tried this with our names during our vacation to Utah.
we were writing our names which was very difficult as you had to write backwards. Ok writing Amy in 30 seconds but not so easy Michelle!
Just stumbled across your blog today. Have booked marked it as enjoying it so much.
Thanks for sharing your photos.
Amy
