Water and Oil Don't Mix
The fact that water and oil don't mix can lead to some lovely images. Today was a very gray day. It stayed overcast all day long. The perfect day for some indoor photography. I grabbed a macro lens, a glass dish and photographed some drops of oil in water. There are such amazing color combinations and patterns that come up. They are just beautiful!
God's love and blessings to all,
chris
those are really nifty. I'll have to give it a try
ReplyDeleteI wish you success at it Teresa. There are a number of tutorials on youtube.Basics are a clear glass dish with a 1/4 inch of water. Pour in some cooking oil and stir it up. Elevate the dish about 8 inches to a foot above a background of colorful paper or a magazine ad. Shine a desklamp directly on the paper below the dish.Photograph from a tripod looking straight down into the dish from above. I use a 100 mm macro lens though other lenses will work.
ReplyDeleteThese are amazing. I'm loving your photography.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing
Thank you very much, Amy Collins.
