Back to the Lovely Ladies

I had a great time photographing birds in the rain today from my photoblind in the Little Lake Valley of Northern California. The bird photography started off very slowly as I haven't been out to restock the bird feeders for a couple of days. All the while the rain came down in a steadily drizzle though it did let up a couple of times. Here is a female House Finch captured with a Tamron 150-600 at 483mm. VC off on a tripod and a Canon 7D set at ISO 800, F 8.0 at 1/400th of a sec. Please take some time to check out my new book, Secrets of Backyard Bird Photography.
