Often Overlooked
Steller's Jays are often overlooked for their beauty because they have such an obnoxious voice. They do have one of the most beautiful plumages of the medium sized perching birds in North America. That iridescent blue is just incredible. Here is one from my photoblind in the front yard yesterday. It was perched in front of some shadowed Douglas Fir Trees which really makes it stand out.
