Find the "W"
Like many small towns across the United States Willts,CA has a giant letter on a prominent mountainside over looking the city. In the case of Willits it is obviously a "W". Even in the salt flats of Nevada and Utah I have noticed that some of the little towns place their namesake letter in rocks spelled out on the salt pan. Then there is Hollywood. They go at in a big way! You can't miss the name of their city. This morning as I was restocking and cleaning the hummingbird feeders I noticed some beautiful breaking light in the fog and clouds over Willits. I grabbed my camera and composed some images of the beautiful light. It was only after uploading the images to my computer that I noticed the prominent "W" hidden in the image. God's blessings upon your weekend, chris Canon 7D anda Canon 100-400 IS handheld and braced.

Ah, I see it I think. At first I was looking too high. Lovely image! I envy your view!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Shelly. Preet y good spying it out on your part. It is just below the center of the image hidden in the fog and trees. One cool fact about it is that it is solar powered so that it lights up at night.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photo :)
