Present on the Forest Floor

This morning after a minor dog incident I assigned myself the task of fence patrol to try and find out how our dog Badger is escaping from the yard. I found one hole that he has been using to squeeze out and I found a small dead Madrone tree had fallen on the back side of the fence reducing it's height down to three feet. Easy for Badger to jump over and for deer to come in.

In walking back up to the house I found this beautiful Steller's Jay feather lying amongst the leaf litter. Perfect photo fodder for my new macro lens. What a wonderful present to start out the day.

God's precious love to all,

chris

  1. Es muy interesante, me parece una fotografĂa muy lograda, las hojas secas... las gotas de agua... la pluma... es una foto preciosa.

  2. That is a very beautiful photo. You don't see many blue feathers these days.

    1. Thank you very much. We find more blue feathers than feathers of any other color where we live due to the fact that we have a lot of Steller's Jays around our house.

  6. The clarity & crispness of the photo is superb. And what a find!

I think when Joey & I play around with our Macro, we must be getting way TOO close? Ours never come out near this amazing. IF we can get better focus, as you've demonstrated, I think we ought to study up on it again & see where we're going wrong.

    Thanks!

Thank you for it. It is a constant reminder for me to appreciate everything He has allowed us to see.
