A Bit of Photographic Fun From This Morning
Every time I finish a project using wood screws I always have a few extras in my pocket. I don't really notice that they are there until I sit down and one of them pokes me in the side of the leg. Usually I'm sitting in my office when this happens. I'll pull them out of my pocket and set them aside until I'm done working. Then I'll take them downstairs and throw them in the hardware drawer in the kitchen. For some reason last week when I set some on my desk and the thought occurred to me that wood screws resembled tree trunks or dead tree snags.I knew I wanted to create an image using the wood screws and needed the time to set it up. Last night I gathered a bunch of wood screws together and set them all on end on a black background sweep.
This morning I photographed them and then combined it with an image of this mornings sunrise. Here is the result of "Sunrise Over the Wood Screw Range".
God's light and love to all,
chris

ReplyDeleteAnd didn't that turn out great. I like the sunrise and the way the wood screws get smaller in the distance. Someday you'll be famous! ...for your art photos perhaps...=) my 1st comment had misspelled words...I fixed it.
ReplyDeleteThank you ever so much, Maggie Anne. I'm always having to go back and edit things that I write!
Delete...that looks just the opposite of a screwed-up day! :-)
ReplyDeleteYour sunrise is gorgeous and in combination with your wood of screws it's really uniquely!
Have a great weekend and always good light!
Uwe.
Thanks Uwe!
DeleteGod's light and love your way.

This made me laugh because my husband, who's a carpenter, does the same thing. No matter how diligent I am about checking his pockets, I always end up with a wayward screw in the washer or dryer.
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping in and making that comment Deb. It made me laugh as well when I realized whatever job I do I always leave stuff in my pockets. when I worked as a Middle School Teacher or many years I had a huge collection of pens, markers and chalk.
DeleteFun photo. Although I have to say, I see a sunrise/set at the Yacht Club with all the screws as masts...
ReplyDeleteJust like to say I'm enjoying the photos, and a big Hello from a namesake up in Washington State. :)
