Three Chop Ridge Sunset

Tonight Lenore and I took a quick walk to the gate at the end of our property. Along the way we kept stopping to look at the sunset. This one was my favorite one looking southwest over Three Top Ridge to the fog covered Pacific Ocean.

God's blessings to everyone,

chris

  6. I'm a great fan of Cloud-n-Sky photography! Mostly because I'm a world renowned graphic artist and photographer...IN MY DAY-DREAMS! Really, I'm no photographer, but I DO play one at home and the sky never disappoints. The Master Painter has made it so we have an ever-changing palette of colors & textures each day; sometimes every minute.

Just as all parents think their babies are the prettiest, I "think" my "sky photography" is stunning, too. It can't NOT be considering "the subject." My computer probably has about 1,000+ images I've snapped over the last 2 years. The neat thing about those "skies" is I can remember that specific day...those particular clouds, or that particular storm and they're all special to 'me.' (Just like you'll remember that special "walk".)

But check this out: So one day I'm catching up on images my 20+ year old daughter has on her Facebook. Guess what? She's posted literally hundreds of Sky-n-Cloud images! How cool is it that my love of photographing the beautiful sky is her love, too! Out of the 'blue.' Go figure.

I love your composition. Not only is "Three Chop Ridge Sunset " visually stunning (well, all your photos are amazing), it's rich with texture. You can almost feel the movement in the clouds. AND it's my favorite colored sky: Cotton Candy Pink & Blue. Amazing, just amazing.

I'm so glad I found your blog recently. It certainly does bring us (husband Joey & I) delight. Many thanks for that.

    1. Laurel,God does provide an incredible variety of skies for us to observe and photograph.Do you have your collection or part of it where it can be viewed online? That would be a great place for people to come view and purchase your sky imagery. It is very cool to hear that you daughter has your same love of sky n clouds. My daughter too has taken a liking to photography. Though she is much better at photographing people than I am. She has a very unique edgy kind of style.
I'm glad that you have been enjoying my photoblog. I really appreciate your comments.
      God bless, chris
