Sweet Little Chickadee

I have been working on my book so I managed to squeeze in a little bird photography this morning. Here is a little Chestnut Backed Chickadee on a Sorghum seed head. When I was a kid in Colorado this was grown as a feed crop for livestock on the plains. Then it was called Milo. Some must have been in some spilled bird seed because it grew in my backyard this summer.I didn't mind because it can be used for some great bird photography! God's blessings and precious love to all, chris Camera Equipment Used- Canon 7D, Canon EF 100-400 f/4.5-5.6 IS USM at 400 mm, Manfrotto 055XPROB Tripod with a 3055 Ballhead. Camera Settings- AV Mode,ISO 800, F5.6 at 1/1,000 of a sec. E.V. -1

  1. Chris, you are a joy and a revelation of God's love. Creator spirit is so incumbent in all our thoughts and with our will our actions, that people rarely give the relationship away as gently, sincerely and might say, as empoweringly as you do in your comments and thoroughly enjoyable photography. Thank you for representing Californian birdlife and other life so well. Another God's Love in the Moment soul like, I believe, yourself,
