Second Verse Same as the First

This will be the last set of bathing birds I will post for awhile. This is the second set of images from yesterday's outing outing to the Little lake Valley in Northern California. The soft morning lighting was just superb. There were Golden Crowned Sparrows, Dark eyed Juncos, Goldfinches and Scrub Jays coming to bathe in abundance. I had a beautiful morning photographing the birds. All images were created with a Canon EOS 7D and a Canon 100-400 IS lens. Camera settings used- AV mode,ISO 800,F5.6,shutter speed varied. A Manfotto 055XB tripod and a Bogen 3055 ballhead was used to support the camera. Birds in Joe's Backyard

My friend Joe Benoit is an excellent photographer.Our tripods have been planted side by side photographing many subjects over the years. The past few mornings I have been using my photoblind in his backyard to photograph birds.Thanks Joe. I was trying to capture some images of some Eurasion Collared Doves. I got a few images of them but they weren't that great.I'll try again sometime soon. I did get some excellent California Valley Quail,Spotted Towhee,Golden Crowned Sparrow and Western Scrub Jay. Fast and Furious

I'm not really sure if today's photoblog title fits for the viewer. From my point of view it really does. Yesterday I spent about two hours in the backyard photoblind. The birds and squirrels were pretty much non stop except for a few breaks provided by the Steller's Jays giving off alarm calls for some predator, probably a hawk that was nearby. I created a lot of work for myself and spent a good part of the day processing images. It was well worth the effort and here are some images from yesterday morning.
