Topping the Teisel!

I set up a perch of teisel beside the bird feeder out at the Burris Ranch in the Little Lake Valley. I prefocused my camera on the top most portion of the teisel and waited. Then I waited and waited some more. Soon the House Finches started using the feeder but none of them landed on the teisel. Patience was the main ingredient needed here and eventually one female alighted on the teisel. She left and then came back. I was able to create some really nice images of her.
