Garlic or Waiting for the Rain to Clear

I awoke to a glorious gray day. We really need the rain here in Northern California so it's a good thing. While making breakfast I was contemplating what to photograph as I puttered about the kitchen. Then I spotted the garlic bowl. Hmmnnn... that might make a simple still life. I searched through the bowl and grabbed the three most decent ones and a single clove. I arranged them on a cutting board in window light and photographed them with an off white background. After cropping the image down into a panorama I think it looks pretty cool. Hopefully there will be a break in the weather this afternoon so I can do some bird photography in the backyard. Camera settings used were AV mode, ISO 400, F 18.0 at .60 sec.

Surprise!

I must say I was rather shocked when my daughter Annika stepped out of the hallway to go to school. I didn't know that she was dressing up in school spirit so I was a bit surprised when I saw her. Two thoughts immediately came to my mind. What are you dressed as and I think you would be great to photograph. I found out that she was dressed as "Pop Art". Next we went over by an open window in the living room. I grabbed a couple of quick images. Then it was the mad dash out the door and off to school! God's light and love to all, chris

An Apple A Day

Worked out this morning at the gym.When I got home I noticed that Lenore had containerized the apples that I use to make my green drinks.I was standing by the window at the time and I thought. Hmmn... that would make an interesting stock image. Before you knew it I had reflectors and a tripod and I was playing around with the apples.
