Playing With my Nails or Colorful Stock

Yesterday while cleaning up the kitchen I ran across a pile of Annika's finger nail polish she hadn't put it away. Well one thing led to another and soon I was painting my nails. Had you going there didn't I? All the bright colors made me want to create some kind of images. Out came the lightbox, lights and material for sweeps and soon I had a regular production line going making some bright stock imagery. I compiled them into two poster images for easy viewing sake.

Please let me know what you think. Just leave a comment.

Pay the Bills

A simple stock image on fare for today. Whenever a stock shot pops into my mind I have a notebook to write ideas down for the future. If I have time I will set it up and take the image in the moment. This image came to me as I was sitting down to pay some bills last night.

The Redwood Ghost or the Forest for the Trees

This morning I dropped Annika off and on my return trip from town I noticed this old gnarled, burned and mossy covered Redwood stump. It was cool because it had two trees growing from its slowly rotting form. So it was a nursery stump. What was even more interesting to me was the fact that I have driven past this ancient stump hundreds of times and I never really took a good look at t it. I wonder what made me look today? If that old stump could talk the many stories it could tell of events and times gone by.

Some Christmas Fun

After a trip to the grocery store it comes as a bit of a shock to Bob when he finally discovers where Christmas ornaments come from. Bob immediately calls his wife Sharon at work and tells her about his amazing discovery. She hangs up on him and then explains to her boss that she has told her husband not to call her at work. She further states that Bob is going through a troublesome time right now. Her supervisor says she understands.

On her way home Sharon knowing that Bob often stretches the truth a bit goes to the store and buys some eggs just to prove Bob wrong. Much to her dismay she too finds out where ornaments come from when she starts to cook dinner.

Bring On the Coffee

This morning I worked on a coffee ad for some friends who are starting up a small coffee company. The coffee is grown on a small family owned estate in Guatemala. The estate's coffee is currently undergoing the paperwork to have it certified as organic. They don't produce a lot of coffee only about a ton a year. A pretty cool family enterprise.

Christmas Coffee

I have spent the past few days researching buying a used car. I have only purchased one new car in my life. I typically buy ones that are a few years old and have been hopefully well cared for. We have had pretty good luck doing that so far. My current little 4x4 is showing its age with over a 100,000 miles on it. Anyone in the market for a well used Suzuki Sidekick?

Due to my vehicular research I haven't put much time into my photography. This morning I set up my lights and some diffusers and did a little product photography. A basic simple set up with "Christmas Coffee" is the result. Now I have to clean up the house as the "FAB FIVE" Annika and her girl friends are having a sleep over tonight.

Please leave me a comment below.

Tis the Season!

It tis the season of our Saviors birth and it is also the season of rain. So after going to Ukiah to the bank and appointments there wasn't much sunlight to photograph with. It was all rain and rain clouds. I stopped by the Dollar Tree and picked up a few props to make some indoor images with. This was my first set up and I see some room for improvement with the image. I'll keep working on it until its improved.

God's love and blessings to all,
