Simple Anna's

I have a very busy day planned so I could only spend about half an hour photographing hummingbirds. My best image was a simple Anna's in flight.I have been working on some new flash configurations with mixed results. Always a great learning experience. God's love and blessings to all, chris image created with a Canon 7D and a Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM Lens and five Canon 540EZ flashes set to 1/16th power. Camera settings used were Manual mode, ISO 100, F 13.0 at 1/200th of a sec.

Happy With the Hummingbirds

I spent a couple of sessions with the hummingbirds in the backyard today. Some of them are starting to molt so their wings are missing some flight feathers. Some of them have some weird looking wings. There were both Rufous and Anna's coming to the feeder and the flowers I put out. I had a great time photographing them and they were really happy with the sugar water. Creating images of them is sort of addictive. They are such a beautiful bird.
