Simple Anna's

I have a very busy day planned so I could only spend about half an hour photographing hummingbirds. My best image was a simple Anna's in flight.I have been working on some new flash configurations with mixed results. Always a great learning experience. God's love and blessings to all, chris image created with a Canon 7D and a Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM Lens and five Canon 540EZ flashes set to 1/16th power. Camera settings used were Manual mode, ISO 100, F 13.0 at 1/200th of a sec.

Back to the Hummingbirds

This morning found me out there photographing the hummingbirds. There weren't too many coming in but I had a great time and Badger the Wonder Dog just slept. Though he did jump up once when I scrambled to refocus on a hummingbird. It's amazing how dogs can sense your actions. He knew something exciting was happening and he wanted to be a part of whatever it was. Here are a couple of male Anna's Hummingbirds and one Bumblebee.
