Grab and Go

Yesterday Lenore and I planned to go to the Farmer's Market in the big city of Ukiah, CA. We got off to a very late start so that by the time we arrived there was only ten minutes left. Numerous vendors were already packing up. We walked rapidly through the market and purchased some veggies. Along the way I captured some images of produce with my little Canon T1i. It's the perfect little travel camera well suited as a daily camera. I've outfitted it with a Tamron 18-200mm lens that makes it quite versatile. Just grab and go! God's precious love upon your week, chris#TeamCanon, #takenwithmytamron

Whatever Caught My Eye

Over the weekend we made a quick trip to Chico, California. It's always nice to make a drive across the Central Valley to see all the sights it has to offer. Chico has a great Farmer's Market that is always one of our obligatory stops when we go there. We also really love to walking downtown and the CSU campus with all of its old brick buildings. I naturally had my camera along to capture anything that caught my interest. Here are some random images from our little jaunt. May you have a blessd evening, chris All images created with a Canon 7D and a Canon EF-s 17-85mm lens. Exposures and settings varied

Farmer's Market

On Saturday we did a quick trip up to Arcata, CA and back. We went to watch Annika play in an Ultimate Tournament. Before the tournament we decided to hit the farmer's market. It was really crowded so we had to park about five blocks away. I didn't want to leave Badger the Wonder Dog in a hot car so I decided to bring him along which turned out to be a pain because they don't allow dogs into the market. In the end we took turns going through the stalls and holding the dog. The end result was I didn't get much time for photography. It was kind of a speed photo walk through the veggies. Afterwards we went and watched Annika play. She scored one goal and her team won their match against the Humboldt Hags. After the match we had a great dinner of crepes at Renatas. A lovely time was had by all. Enjoy the veggies and God bless, chris All images were made with a Canon 7D and a Canon EF-S 17-85 mm lens handheld and on the run!

Farmer's Market

I love Thursdays in Willits. From mid spring to late fall they hold a farmers market at the city park in downtown afternoon from three to six p.m. you can buy everything from fresh fruits and veggies to grass fed beef, goat or lamb. You can even get your kitchen knives sharpened every month.
Today when Lenore,Annika and I went to the market we purchased nearly all the ingredients we needed for a lamb veggie stir fry. All of it locally grown and raised. It was delicious. we also managed to capture some really nice images as we shopped. They also have a pretty cool band that plays everything from Folk to Rock to Jazz and Blues. It makes for a great place to spend part of an afternnon.

God bless,

chris
