Mean Green Drink Take Two

I love how an idea sometimes takes awhile to develop. You have a concept pictured in your mind. As you work it there are twists, turns and changes made along the way. The "Mean Green Drink' has been like that. I started with an idea and along the way I've made tweaks and changes to the background, lighting and flagging etc. Today when I worked on it some more I came up with something close to the original concept I saw in my mind. I'm really pleased with the final result. It is very earthy and organic the way I wanted it to be.

Mean Green Drink

I have been making healthy green drinks over the last few months. Admittedly the taste is a bit of an acquired thing. It helps to add more apples and fruit to make it sweeter. I have to be careful as that can be overdone and have it contain too much sugar. I have been wanting to make an image of one of my drinks and today I finally got around to it. I created two images and both my wife Lenore and I like the second image much better. I'm working on a third image that will be more earthy in nature on a nonwhite background. On to more projects.

Farmer's Market

I love Thursdays in Willits. From mid spring to late fall they hold a farmers market at the city park in downtown afternoon from three to six p.m. you can buy everything from fresh fruits and veggies to grass fed beef,goat or lamb. You can even get your kitchen knives sharpened every month.
Today when Lenore,Annika and I went to the market we purchased nearly all the ingredients we needed for a lamb veggie stir fry. All of it locally grown and raised. It was delicious. we also managed to capture some really nice images as we shopped. They also have a pretty cool band that plays everything from Folk to Rock to Jazz and Blues. It makes for a great place to spend part of an afternnon.
