Short Dig Into the Past

Yesterday I was looking for some thread. The best place in our house find thread is in Lenore's Grandmother's sewing kit. The sewing kit was built by her Grandmother when she was in high school. Her Grandmother was taking classes to become a clothing designer. The kit is three feet tall and it is hinged so that it can be closed shut and ready for travel wherever the next sewing job might be. The kit is incredibly well built having stood the tests of time especially when you consider that her Grandmother made it when she was just sixteen. After finding the thread I needed I decided to see what else is in all of the pockets. Amongst the measuring tape, shears and other assorted sewing supplies there were an amazing amount of buttons. It helps to illustrate the thriftiness of the time period. If it was useful you didn't throw it out as you may need it later for something else. May God bless you this day, chris

    1. Thank you very much for your comment, black wolfgang. It's kind of fun for me to break out of the box and photograph something besides wildlife and landscapes once in awhile.
