Today I was chopping up some garlic for a great salad dressing and I realized it would make a great image. As far as the dressing goes you have to like Cilantro or it's not worth it. A food taste study has indicated that you either like Cilantro or you don't something to do with some sort of gene in your taste buds. While I'm at it here is the recipe for the dressing.Soon I'll post an image of the dressing once I get a creative setting in mind.
Cilantro Lime Dressing 1/3 cup olive oil, 1/2 cup Plain Yogurt. (I use honey yogurt), 1 Tbsp Lime Juice, 2 Cloves Garlic finely minced, 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar, 1 whole bunch Clantro chopped, 1 tsp Sea Salt. Throw all of the ingredients into a food processor or blender and blend until smooth. You can add more olive oil to thin it out as needed if the cilantro bunch was too big. Put it on a great salad and enjoy. God bless and good eats to all, chris

  1. Artistic shot. :) Just curious - did you make the picture all grainy for the looks, or was it already grainy and then you added more so it would look as if it was done on purpose? Either way, it looks really cool, good job!

    1. Good question, Isabelle and very perceptive. More of the latter. I started with a backdrop that was scattered with little black grains. Then I added an overall contrast filter and then a slight warming filter to bring it back a bit closer to reality.I'm usually pretty sparing with filters. Just once in awhile I want to try something a little different.

    2. I absolutely adore cilantro. I have never met anyone else that does. While working in a produce market, I always loved stocking the herbs most of all. The scent of cilantro is to die for.

Lovely image! Garlic is something my family cannot cook without. We use it in everything..and I mean everything...okay maybe not desserts...but you get the idea!

  2. Here is a little bit about the link between genes and Cilantro.
